1. Who we are
One Market ("One Market", "we", "us") is a company of One Group SAS, based in Makepe, Douala, Cameroon. You can reach us at hello@onemarketc.com or +237 654 160 856.
These terms apply to onemarketc.com, the One Market Customer and Vendor apps, OMA on WhatsApp once available, and the business supply, sourcing, delivery and related services we provide (together, the "Services").
By creating an account, placing an order, listing a product or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the legal capacity to enter into contracts, to create an account.
Give accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
We may ask you to verify your identity, especially before you sell, withdraw money or place large orders.
3. Buying on the marketplace
Products on the marketplace are sold by independent vendors. The vendor is responsible for the product, its description and its quality. One Market provides the platform, holds the payment and organises delivery.
Prices are shown in FCFA (XAF). Delivery fees are shown before you pay and are generally paid by the customer.
When you pay by MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money, One Market holds the payment. The vendor is paid only after the order is delivered and you confirm it, or after the confirmation period shown in the app ends without a problem being reported.
Where cash on delivery is offered, you pay the rider when the order arrives.
Check your order when it is delivered. If something is missing, damaged or not as described, tell the rider or our support team before you confirm the order.
4. Problems, refunds and disputes
If you report a problem with a marketplace order, we review it with you and the vendor and may ask for photos or other information. While we review it, the vendor's payment stays on hold.
If we decide that a refund is due, we refund the amount to the payment method you used or by another method we agree with you. Fees charged by payment providers may not be refundable.
Our decision on a marketplace dispute does not stop you from using any other rights you have under the law.
5. Selling on One Market
To sell, you must register on the Vendor app, complete identity verification and have your shop and products approved. We may refuse or remove any shop or product.
You must list only products you are allowed to sell, describe them honestly, show the correct price and keep stock up to date. You must hand over orders on time and in the condition described.
You pay the commission and any subscription fee of your plan, as shown on the Vendor plans and fees page. Fees can change; we will tell you before a change applies to you.
Your earnings are credited to your vendor wallet after delivery is confirmed. You can withdraw them to mobile money from the minimum amount shown in the app. We may hold amounts linked to a dispute, a suspected fraud or a breach of these terms until the matter is resolved.
6. Business supply and sourcing
For procurement, sourcing, warehousing and custom software, the quote, proposal or order confirmation we send you sets out the products or work, prices, delivery dates and payment terms. If it conflicts with these terms, the quote or agreement applies.
Water bottles and dispensers lent to you remain One Market's property. You must return them in good condition; missing or damaged items may be charged as stated in your agreement.
7. Delivery
We deliver within Douala and between cities on request. Delivery times are estimates and can be affected by traffic, weather and other events outside our control.
Give a correct address and phone number and be reachable at delivery. If delivery fails because of wrong details or because no one is available, we may charge a new delivery fee.
8. What is not allowed
You may not use the Services to sell or buy illegal, counterfeit, stolen or dangerous goods, or any product whose sale is restricted by law without the required authorisation.
You may not commit fraud, harass others, post false reviews or information, try to avoid One Market's payment system for orders made through the platform, or interfere with the security or running of the Services.
9. Content and intellectual property
The One Market name, logo, apps and website belong to One Market and its group. You may not copy or use them without our permission.
Vendors keep the rights to their product photos and descriptions and allow One Market to display and promote them on the Services and in our marketing.
10. Third-party services
Payments are processed by mobile money operators and other providers, and our apps are distributed through app stores. Their own terms also apply. We are not responsible for their services.
11. Our responsibility
We work to keep the Services available and accurate, but we provide them as they are and cannot guarantee they will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, One Market is not liable for indirect losses such as loss of profit or business, and our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Suspension and closing your account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud or puts other users at risk.
You can close your account at any time from the app or through our account deletion page. Orders already placed and amounts owed remain due.
13. Privacy
How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will show the date of the latest version on this page and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by message. If you keep using the Services after a change, you accept the new terms.
15. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon, including the applicable OHADA Uniform Acts. We will first try to settle any dispute amicably. If that fails, the competent courts of Douala will have jurisdiction, unless the law provides otherwise.
